Flip the switch up to "high" for maximum speed or down to "variable" for adjusting the speed with the 1 to 10 control knob. Another switch makes it easy to turn the unit on and off.

In addition, the Vitamix 5200’s oversized 64-ounce BPA-free jar creates a powerful vortex that forces ingredients up from the blade and back down through the center to ensure thorough blending.
